The KUMBA tomato was discovered in spring 2015 by Bruno WATERKEYN at his nursery in Dave, near Namur, and has been further developed ever since. This round, pink ‘cocktail’ tomato, weighing between 25 and 170 grams, is the result of a natural and chance cross. It is firm and juicy, can be eaten raw or cooked, and stores very well at room temperature.
The plant grows indefinitely (approx. 1.60 to over 2 m), with a very high yield. The yield can be increased further by allowing the plant to grow on several shoots (‘side shoots’). The variety bears fruit from early July until the first frosts in late November.
In short: a variety that is perfect for amateur gardeners and will be very popular with food lovers!
